On the 2nd (local time), President Trump stated through his Truth Social, "Bitcoin and Ethereum, like other cryptocurrencies, will be core components of strategic reserves," adding, "I love Bitcoin and Ethereum."
On this day, President Trump announced that he had directed the cryptocurrency working group to include XRP, Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA) in the U.S. strategic reserves. As he directly mentioned that Bitcoin and Ethereum would also be included in the strategic reserves, the cryptocurrency market, which had been showing a downward trend recently, is now rebounding.
Immediately after President Trump's remarks, Bitcoin surged past $91,000. Ethereum also rose more than 10% to exceed $2,460.
