Story "IPFi to Financialize Creative Works... Will Form a New Market"

Blockchain platform Story (IP), which specializes in intellectual property rights, has presented IPFi, a fusion of IP and Decentralized Finance (DeFi), as a new opportunity in the virtual asset market. Analysis suggests that an environment will be created where individual creative works can be directly monetized and traded.

Bu Fan, Story IPFi Head, who attended 'Seoul of AI' held at Dream Plus Gangnam in Gangnam-gu on the 4th, stated, "IPFi aims to create a new value flow between creators, investors, and consumers by digitalizing intellectual property rights as assets," adding, "We are trying to build a model where one can invest in individual creative works themselves rather than specific companies."

Head Bu Fan explained, "In the case of music, creators write lyrics, compose songs, and record to release a product," adding, "Economic value is created when consumers listen to the song and companies utilize it."

He said, "In the traditional financial system, investors indirectly invested in the music industry through companies, but now the song itself can be financialized as an asset," adding, "This can be expanded to various creative works such as images, videos, patents, and more."

He continued, "The core of IPFi is value measurement and securing liquidity," adding, "Story is considering how to measure the value of creative works and how to distribute this to creators and investors."

He also expressed confidence that IPFi will form a new financial market. Head Bu Fan predicted, "We are working on making major IP assets tradable and developing financial products based on them," adding, "A new market will be formed through IPFi."

He emphasized, "We are trying various models such as getting loans with IP as collateral and providing options for specific assets," adding, "IPFi is not just a simple concept but will establish itself as a practical financial model and be recognized as an important asset class."
