On the 5th (local time), US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said in an interview with local media The Pavlovich Two A, "President Donald Trump is expected to announce significant changes to virtual asset policies, including the strategic reserve of Bitcoin, at the White House virtual asset summit this week," adding that "Trump will explain his vision for Bitcoin and extensive cryptocurrency regulations."

He continued, "President Trump is definitely considering a strategic reserve of Bitcoin," and said, "A model containing this content will be unveiled at Friday's announcement." However, he added that how other virtual assets will be treated remains an issue.

Furthermore, he conveyed that Bitcoin would gain special status under the Trump administration. He added, "Other virtual assets will be treated differently from Bitcoin," and said, "It will be in a positive direction, but it will be different from Bitcoin."

Finally, Secretary Lutnick emphasized again, "The strategic reserve of Bitcoin is an issue the President is interested in," and said, "He talked about this during the election period, and we will see it implemented on Friday."

Meanwhile, the White House virtual asset summit is scheduled to take place from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM (Korean time) on March 8.
