Leca Ventures to Host Academic-Industry Forum on AI Agents and Blockchain Technology

Web3 venture capital firm Leca Ventures announced on the 5th that it will host an academic-industry forum on AI agents and blockchain technology in Seoul next month.

The event, called 'The Academic Frontier,' is a competition aimed at discovering innovative ideas that combine AI agents and blockchain technology, and will be held in Seoul on April 13.

Research teams and students from major Korean universities including KAIST, Seoul National University, Yonsei University, and Korea University, as well as global prestigious institutions such as Carnegie Mellon, University of Pennsylvania, and UC Berkeley will participate in The Academic Frontier. The total prize money amounts to $100,000, and university students and graduate students interested in blockchain and AI agent technology will compete in teams of two or more.

Applications can be submitted from February 20 to March 12 through Leca Ventures' official X (formerly Twitter) account, and the review process will continue until March 19 on a rolling basis. The finals and award ceremony will be held at an offline event on April 13.

Participants will also be provided with mentoring from industry experts, opportunities for VC investment attraction and global network building, and chances to interact with representatives from renowned blockchain and AI companies.

Hyung-jun Ahn, CEO of Leca Ventures, stated, "The goal of this competition is to lead technological innovation through the convergence of AI agents and blockchain, and to support global talents in exploring new possibilities," adding, "We hope that many students will interact with industry experts through this competition and gain practical growth opportunities."
