According to cryptocurrency media Coindesk on the 6th (local time), Ethereum (ETH) core developers have decided to postpone the mainnet release of the Pectra upgrade.
This decision comes after two bugs occurred in the testnet, making it difficult to apply to the mainnet. The timing for resuming the upgrade has not been disclosed.
The Pectra upgrade includes a total of 10 EIPs, primarily featuring EIP-7742, which enables the Ethereum consensus layer (CL) to support automatic adjustment of gas throughput for a new transaction type called Blobs.
Meanwhile, the Pectra upgrade has already been implemented on the Ethereum Sepolia testnet.
