Taiko, an Ethereum (ETH) based rollup solution developer, is hosting the 'Based Rollup Summit' to enhance Ethereum scalability.

On the 6th (local time), Taiko announced that it will hold a summit to discuss the technical advancements and future possibilities of based rollups during 'Ethereum San Francisco' week on the 10th. The event will feature speakers including Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, Stanford University cryptography professor Dan Boneh, and Nethermind CEO and Ethereum Foundation co-director Tomasz Stańczak.

The event will include participation from major companies and projects researching rollup and scalability technologies, such as Near Protocol, Nethermind, Succinct, Espresso Systems, Spire, and Puffer. Participants will share the latest trends in the based rollup ecosystem and highlight the position of rollup technology.

Additionally, major industry institutions and companies will participate, including global venture capital (VC) firms Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Bankless, Lubin, Fabric, L2IV, SNZ Holdings, Hashed, and Stanford Blockchain.

Joaquin Mendes, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Taiko, said, "The Ethereum network continues to grow, and in the future, permissionless models will be essential rather than optional," adding, "Based rollups are a key technology for realizing Ethereum with usability and scalability, and this summit is the first official gathering to advance this." He further added, "The Based Rollup Summit will be an opportunity to directly experience the evolution of Ethereum scaling solutions."
