The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has placed a $10 million bounty on a former Canadian Olympic athlete accused of laundering drug money through Tether (USDT).
The FBI announced on the 6th (local time) that Ryan Wedding, a former Canadian Olympic snowboarder, has been added to their wanted list. On the same day, the US Department of State stated in a press release that "a reward of $10 million will be paid under the Narcotics Reward Program (NRP) for information leading to Wedding's arrest."
Wedding is accused of smuggling drugs including cocaine and fentanyl into North America. According to US investigators, he allegedly laundered drug sales proceeds using Tether.
