Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), the former CEO of the bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX, was reportedly placed in solitary confinement immediately after his interview with former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson.
On the 7th (local time), the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons told The New York Times that "the interview was not approved." According to a prison bureau official, SBF was transferred to solitary confinement right after completing the interview with Tucker Carlson. However, it has not been confirmed whether this measure is directly related to conducting an unauthorized interview.
During the interview, SBF claimed, "I have no assets left now" and argued that "if FTX had not gone through bankruptcy proceedings, I could have returned funds to all customers and investors." SBF is currently serving a 25-year sentence at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York, on charges of fraud and other financial crimes.
