Upbit Launches 'Future Generation Cheer UP!' Campaign to Support Vulnerable Youth

Dunamu, the operator of digital asset exchange Upbit, announced on the 11th that it will conduct the 'Future Generation Cheer UP!' campaign to support children and youth from vulnerable households.

This campaign is a digital asset donation initiative aimed at helping vulnerable families who struggle to afford necessary school supplies such as uniforms and backpacks, and will be conducted in partnership with World Vision. The campaign is scheduled to run for about two weeks until 5 PM on the 21st.

The donation method follows a 'matching grant' format where Upbit members donate Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) to World Vision's wallet address, and Upbit will match these donations up to a maximum of 300 million won.

Members wishing to participate can use Upbit's 'Direct Withdrawal' feature to donate to World Vision's Bitcoin (BTC) wallet address 'cheer_up_btc' or Ethereum (ETH) wallet address 'cheer_up_eth'. Participants will receive a non-fungible token (NFT) as proof of their donation.

World Vision President Myung-hwan Cho said, "We hope this campaign with Upbit will serve as an opportunity to promote digital asset donations," adding, "We look forward to children starting the new semester being able to nurture their dreams in a better environment."

Dunamu CEO Seok-woo Lee stated, "Through this campaign, we hope that children and youth from vulnerable households can focus on their studies without financial difficulties," and added, "We will continue to expand support for nurturing future generations and lead the next-generation digital asset donation culture."
