200 Million Won Disappeared Before Their Eyes... Foreign Suspect's Nationality, Name, and Age Unknown

Police are struggling to investigate a foreigner who fled with over 200 million won in cash. Even after more than two weeks since the incident, police have not been able to identify the suspect's nationality or name.

According to police on the 11th, the Incheon Seobu Police Station is tracking a man presumed to be a foreign national, identified as Mr. A, on charges of theft.

Mr. A is accused of stealing 240 million won in cash from Mr. B, a man in his 30s, and his companions at a commercial building in Seongnam-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon, at around 9:40 PM on the 21st of last month before fleeing.

Mr. B had come to the location for a transaction after seeing Mr. A's post in a KakaoTalk open chat room advertising the sale of Tether (USDT) cryptocurrency at a discounted price.

During police questioning, Mr. B stated, "Mr. A said he was going to the bathroom briefly, but secretly returned and fled with the paper bag containing the cash."

Police who responded to the report confirmed that Mr. A had left Incheon in a vehicle immediately after fleeing, but they are reportedly having difficulty tracking his subsequent movements.

Police said that Mr. A is only presumed to be a foreign male, with no specific information about his nationality, name, age, or residence.

Police plan to continue tracking him based on closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, considering the possibility that Mr. A may have fled overseas.
