Expanding into a platform where anyone can easily register and monetize IP
IP token stands out amid weak coin market
'Strong performance' for 4 consecutive days after 'IP Portal' platform release

STORY, a blockchain-based IP protocol that has gained attention by securing intellectual property rights (IP) of global artists such as BTS, Maroon 5, and Justin Bieber, is now drawing industry attention by unveiling a preview product of its IP registration and management platform 'IP Portal'.
On the IP Portal platform released by STORY on the 7th (local time), anyone can upload content and register IP easily within seconds. STORY envisions the IP Portal as 'GitHub for IP.' Similar to how developers worldwide share source code and collaborate on GitHub, the IP Portal aims to serve the same role in the global IP market.
Currently, the global IP market is worth approximately $61 trillion (about 8,887 trillion KRW), with cross-border IP royalty payments exceeding $1 trillion (about 1,457 trillion KRW) annually. However, despite its enormous scale, IP transactions have been slow and inefficient, conducted through complex legal procedures and contracts due to varying regulations and laws across countries.
STORY efficiently improves the existing complicated and costly centralized IP registration, usage, and transaction procedures based on blockchain technology. It focuses on helping all creators, including companies and individuals, easily register and monetize their IP regardless of national borders.
IP registration possible in just seconds...License issuance and royalty distribution features coming soon

Gardo, the head of STORY IP Portal development, explained, "The existing IP registration system was slow and inefficient," adding, "IP Portal is designed to enable immediate and transparent IP management by introducing an on-chain registration method. This will create a new economic model."
Currently, IP Portal supports functions such as ▲IP registration ▲license condition setting ▲IP management ▲AI training data provision options ▲exploration of registered IP. Creators can register image, audio, and video files, with text and other file formats to be supported in the future. Large files exceeding 25MB can be registered using STORY's developer tool, 'STORY SDK (Software Development Kit)'.
IP license issuance, royalty payment, and dispute resolution features will be added in the future. IP registered by creators will automatically execute license agreements according to preset conditions, and when revenue is generated, compensation will be automatically paid through smart contracts.
An IP protection and infringement prevention system has also been established. STORY plans to operate an infringement detection process in collaboration with third-party certification providers to detect unauthorized use of commercially licensed IP assets.

STORY's governance and utility token 'IP' is used for maintaining network security, processing transactions, and paying network fees. When IP registered by creators generates revenue, royalties are automatically paid through IP tokens.
A STORY representative emphasized, "Previously, complex legal procedures and high costs acted as barriers in the process of protecting and utilizing IP," adding, "Now, through IP Portal, anyone can easily register their creations and monetize them safely."
IP token shows strength amid weak virtual asset market...4 consecutive days of 'strong performance' following platform launch
Meanwhile, while global financial and virtual asset (cryptocurrency) markets have recently shown weakness after U.S. President Donald Trump indicated on the 10th (local time) that he would accept an economic recession, the IP token has shown strength for four consecutive days as expectations grow following the launch of IP Portal.
According to Bithumb, a virtual asset exchange, on the 12th, STORY (IP) is trading at 8,125 KRW, up 7.83% from the previous day. Since the launch of IP Portal, the IP token has risen about 14% over four days, starting from 7,140 KRW. In contrast, during the same period, Bitcoin fell 8.3% from 134.25 million KRW to 123.03 million KRW, Ethereum dropped 13.6%, and XRP declined 14.1%. Industry experts attribute this to investors flocking to the token due to expectations that IP transaction demand based on the STORY platform will increase.
An industry insider predicted, "STORY has already secured various mega IPs through collaboration with numerous global artists such as BTS, Maroon 5, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, BLACKPINK, and aespa through its subsidiary Aria protocol," adding, "As it continues to secure major IPs and increases its market share in the global IP royalty payment market, while also broadly embracing individual writers, artists, and others engaged in various creative activities worldwide through IP Portal, expectations for overall IP business expansion are growing."
