Soneium Signs Partnership with LINE Headquarters... "Full-scale Entry into Global Web3 Market"

Soneium, a Layer 2 blockchain led by Sony Block Solution Labs, a Sony Group affiliate, announced on the 12th that it has signed a partnership with global messaging platform LINE.

This partnership aims to expand into the global Web3 market and increase accessibility to blockchain services, with particular interest generated by the direct participation of LINE's headquarters.

Soneium is a Layer 2 blockchain based on the Optimism Foundation's software development kit (SDK), OP Stack, providing a stable and scalable blockchain environment with interoperability with Optimism's superchain ecosystem, including Base, Mantle, and Mode.

Through this collaboration, Soneium plans to combine with LINE's mini app service, which has approximately 200 million active users, to help users easily and conveniently access the Web3 environment. LINE mini app developers can receive support for community building, strategic marketing, and intellectual property (IP) collaboration from Soneium.

As part of this partnership, they plan to launch on LINE mini apps connected to the Soneium ecosystem, including △Sleepagotchi LITE △Farm Frens △Moonveil's Puffy Match △Pocket Mob.

Sleepagotchi LITE is a sleep management app that has already secured over 1 million users within a month on the mobile messenger Telegram. Moonveil's Puffy Match is a ZK (zero-knowledge proof) based Layer 2 mini-game with simple gameplay for increased accessibility, and Pocket Mob is an NFT-based social strategy role-playing game (RPG). Farm Frens is a Web3-based farm mini-game that has raised $10 million (approximately 14.555 billion KRW) in investment.
