  • The growth of the Bitcoin network has been influenced by the splitting of large wallets, suggesting that it continues to expand despite extreme price volatility.

Bitcoin (BTC) holders have been shown to be approaching 55 million.

On-chain analytics platform Santiment announced on the 13th through its official X (formerly Twitter) account, "The total number of Bitcoin holders (number of wallets with balances) has exceeded 54.71 million," adding that "it's only 0.018% different from the all-time high (about 54.72 million) recorded on January 19 this year."

Santiment emphasized that the Bitcoin network is steadily expanding. "The growth of the Bitcoin network and the increase in large wallets being split into multiple smaller wallets have influenced this upward trend," Santiment said, adding that "despite Bitcoin's price showing extreme volatility for about 8 weeks, it demonstrates that the network continues to expand."
