Former Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett revealed on the 19th (local time) via X (formerly Twitter) that "cryptocurrency derivatives exchange Bitnomial plans to withdraw the lawsuit it filed against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regarding the launch of XRP futures products."
On the same day, the SEC withdrew its appeal related to XRP.
Bitnomial is scheduled to launch XRP futures contracts on the 20th (local time) with approval from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Previously, Bitnomial had filed a lawsuit in response after the SEC warned that the product might violate securities laws shortly after Bitnomial announced the launch of XRP futures products last year.
