Global cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase announced on the 25th (local time) via its official X (formerly Twitter) that "Celo is migrating from a Layer 1 blockchain to Ethereum (ETH) Layer 2," and "accordingly, the exchange will proceed with the upgrade starting at 8 PM PDT on the 25th." It added, "During this upgrade, CGLD deposits and withdrawals will be temporarily suspended."
