Coinbase Adds Meme Coin 'Keyboard Cat(KEYCAT)' to Listing Roadmap

Global cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase announced on the 28th (local time) that it has added the meme coin 'Keyboard Cat(KEYCAT)' to its listing roadmap.

Coinbase stated through its official X(formerly Twitter) that "a separate announcement will be made to commence trading once sufficient liquidity and technical requirements for the asset are met."

Keyboard Cat is a project derived from a cat meme that first appeared in 2007. This meme, which started with a video of a cat playing the keyboard, gained popularity over the years through various parodies and remixes on the internet. The 'KEYCAT' token, launched based on this popularity, is a community-driven project centered around meme enthusiasts, traders, and NFT collectors, developed on the Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain 'Base'.

Meanwhile, following the news of its inclusion in the Coinbase listing roadmap, KEYCAT is trading at approximately $0.0064, up about 25% from the previous day according to CoinMarketCap.
