The Digital Asset Exchange Joint Consultative Body (DAXA) announced on the 31st that it conducted financial accident prevention education for financially vulnerable groups, specifically targeting the elderly, twice.

DAXA conducted financial education on March 7th and 26th for a total of over 100 members of the Gangnam Senior Welfare Center and Nowon Senior Welfare Center, under the theme of 'Preventing Investment Fraud Linked to Virtual Assets and Proper Investment Methods'.

In the two sessions, Professor Jae-Woo Cho, an advisor to DAXA, explained virtual assets, introduced major investment fraud cases and precautions, and how to respond in case of fraud. Additionally, DAXA provided a romance scam cartoon leaflet produced last year to help the elderly understand.

This education was prepared to prevent investment fraud cases such as virtual asset-linked leading rooms and illegal multi-level marketing solicitations targeting the retirement funds of the elderly in South Korea. The education was conducted with the primary purpose of improving understanding of virtual assets and preventing damage among seniors who have difficulty accessing information.

Jae-Jin Kim, the Executive Vice President of DAXA, stated, "DAXA's efforts will continue until the financially vulnerable groups, including the elderly, have a proper understanding of virtual assets and are safe from investment fraud," and "We will support all users, including vulnerable groups, to safely utilize digital assets."
