It has been revealed that North Korea's hacking group under the Reconnaissance General Bureau, Lazarus, sold Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) and earned over $2.5 million (approximately 3.7 billion KRW).

On-chain analysis platform Spot On Chain announced on its official X account on the 3rd, "Today, Lazarus sold 40.78 Wrapped Bitcoin, earning approximately $2.51 million," and added, "The Wrapped Bitcoin sold was purchased by Lazarus two years ago."

Spot On Chain stated, "Lazarus bought Wrapped Bitcoin in February 2023 at approximately $24,521 each." It continued, "(Lazarus) sold the Wrapped Bitcoin 12 hours ago at approximately $86,170 each and converted the funds into 1,857 Ethereum (ETH)," adding, "The converted Ethereum was distributed to three wallet addresses."
