According to Yonhap News on the 7th, a government official stated, "We plan to present this agenda at the regular Cabinet meeting tomorrow and confirm and announce the election date."
The official explained, "There is no clear legal basis that requires the Cabinet meeting for setting the election date," but added, "Since it is an important agenda and involves designating the election day as a temporary holiday, it will go through a resolution at the Cabinet meeting."
