According to CoinGlass data on the 8th (local time), a total of $462.61 million worth of futures positions were liquidated in the virtual asset market over the past 24 hours. Most of it was short (sell) position liquidation. Short positions were liquidated at $284.67 million, and long (buy) positions were liquidated at $177.94 million.

The asset with the largest liquidation size was Bitcoin (BTC). Bitcoin experienced $201.6 million in position liquidation over 24 hours, with short and long positions liquidated at $122.50 million and $77.66 million, respectively. The leading altcoin Ethereum (ETH) ranked second, with $112.18 million disappearing during the same period. The short and long position liquidation sizes were $68.25 million and $43.93 million, respectively.

As of 6:32 PM, based on the Binance USDT market, Bitcoin and Ethereum are trading at $79,059 and $1,570, respectively, up 4.22% and 6.20% from 24 hours ago.
