An analysis has emerged that XRP could reach $12.50 by the end of 2028.
According to CoinDesk on the 8th (local time), Standard Chartered stated in a report, "XRP will move in tandem with Bitcoin (BTC) in terms of price increase," and predicted, "It could reach $12.50 by the end of 2028." They further explained, "The reason XRP rose about sixfold after Trump's election victory is due to the end of the dispute with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and expectations for the approval of a spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) for XRP," while also adding, "This upward trend is expected to continue."
The bank particularly noted that XRP is specialized for cross-border payments. The report stated, "XRP is a useful asset for cross-border and inter-currency payments, one of the rapidly growing areas in the virtual asset sector," and added, "The outlook for the decentralized public blockchain Ripple Ledger (XRPL) is also optimistic."
Jeff Kendrick, an analyst at Standard Chartered, also said, "Ripple Ledger enables traditional financial transactions to be processed on the blockchain," and added, "It could be used in many places like stablecoins in the future." He continued, "Ripple Ledger clearly has limitations such as a small number of developers and limited value creation," but added, "Other positive factors will offset these drawbacks."
Meanwhile, Standard Chartered projected that XRP will reach $5.50 by the end of this year, $8 by the end of 2026, $10.40 by the end of 2027, and $12.50 by the end of 2028.
As of 9:44 PM, XRP is trading at $1.93, up 7.60% compared to 24 hours ago, based on the Binance USDT market.
