According to the virtual asset (cryptocurrency) specialized media CoinDesk on the 8th (local time), the Bitcoin (BTC) sidechain Rootstock is set to launch a software development kit (SDK) for BTC Layer 2.

For this, a modified version of the BitVM programming language, BitVMX, was utilized. Rootstock explained that developers can use the SDK to build BTC Layer 2 based on BitVMX.
