On the 17th (local time), President Trump stated on his social media platform Truth Social, "The European Central Bank (ECB) is expected to go for its 7th rate cut," and "Jerome Powell should have cut rates like the European Central Bank did." President Trump added, "(The Fed) should cut rates immediately."
He also called for the removal of Fed Chair Jerome Powell. President Trump said, "Fed's Powell is always too late and wrong," and "Powell's removal should happen as soon as possible."
