ANAP Holdings, which operates the Japanese fashion brand 'ANAP', has incorporated Bitcoin (BTC) worth 2 billion yen (approximately 20 billion KRW) as a strategic asset.

According to CoinPost on the 18th, ANAP Holdings announced on the 16th that it purchased a total of 16.6591 BTC for approximately 199,975,438 yen and stated that the asset will be managed through its consolidated subsidiary 'ANAP Lightning Capital', established in February 2025.

ANAP Holdings explained the background of the Bitcoin purchase by highlighting the robust structure based on blockchain technology, proof-of-work (PoW), halving, and limited issuance, which restricts supply and makes it immune to the influence of specific countries or institutions. They also added that the launch of Bitcoin ETFs in the US and Hong Kong and the intensification of national strategic discussions on virtual assets in the US were major factors in their investment decision.

Meanwhile, the number of listed companies in Japan incorporating Bitcoin as a strategic asset is increasing. Previously, companies like Metaplanet, Value Creation, Gumi, and Enish have also announced their Bitcoin purchases.
