'$7.5 Million Hacking' KiloEx, Compensation for Victims

Decentralized Exchange (DEX) KiloEx is pushing for compensation for victims of a recent hacking attack.

KiloEx announced on its official blog on the 24th (local time) that "the recent hacking incident has affected some users" and that it will "pursue a tailored compensation plan for investors and others."

Previously, on the 14th of this month, KiloEx suffered a vault hacking attack that resulted in the theft of $7.5 million (approximately 10.8 billion KRW). As a result, KiloEx had suspended platform operations entirely.

KiloEx stated that "all limit orders were canceled at the time of the (hacking) incident" and that "if losses increased or profits decreased during the (exchange) suspension period, the difference will be fully compensated." They added, "Compensation will be calculated based on the time the platform resumes operations," and "once the platform resumes, please liquidate positions as soon as possible."
