There are signs that the United States and China are moving away from the prolonged high-tariff standoff and entering a phase of easing tensions.

On the 25th, US media outlet CNN reported that "according to corporate officials in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China has quietly withdrawn the 125% retaliatory tariff on eight types of semiconductors manufactured in the United States." Although the Chinese authorities have not made an official announcement, it is explained that the tariff withdrawal on some US-made semiconductors has begun. However, memory semiconductors are not included in this tariff withdrawal.

Additionally, it is reported that China is also considering exemptions for medical equipment, industrial raw materials such as ethane, and aircraft leasing.

Bloomberg analyzed that "this move reflects the mutual dependence of US-China trade and could be a turning point in the high-tariff conflict that began after President Trump's tenure."
