Brazil has launched the world's first exchange-traded fund (ETF) that tracks the spot price of XRP.

According to crypto media outlet CryptoNews, Brazil's B3 Stock Exchange began trading the XRP spot ETF 'Hashdex Nasdaq XRP Fundo de Índice (XRPH11)' on the 25th (local time). The product is managed by Brazilian asset management firm Hashdex.

Previously, the Brazilian Securities Commission (CVM) approved the ETF listing application in February.

Samir Kerbage, Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Hashdex, stated, "XRPH11 is the world's first XRP spot ETF, expanding Hashdex's single asset ETF lineup following Bitcoin (BITH11), Ethereum (ETHE11), and Solana (SOLH11) based ETFs," adding, "It primarily targets institutional investors seeking access to digital assets through Brazil's regulated market."
