Summary

  • It was reported that Arbitrum decided to withdraw from NVIDIA's 'Ignition AI Accelerator' project.
  • NVIDIA requested the exclusion of Arbitrum from announcements related to virtual assets, which was judged as a lack of collaboration intent.
  • Arbitrum planned to participate as the only Ethereum-related partner, but NVIDIA's negative perception influenced the decision.

Arbitrum (ARB) is exiting NVIDIA's Artificial Intelligence (AI) project.

According to The Block on the 26th (local time), the Arbitrum Foundation recently decided to withdraw from the 'Ignition AI Accelerator' project. The Ignition AI Accelerator is an AI startup nurturing program led by NVIDIA. The Arbitrum Foundation stated, "(Recently) NVIDIA requested to exclude (Arbitrum) from announcements related to virtual assets," and "We decided to withdraw from the project as we judged there was no long-term collaboration intent."

Initially, Arbitrum planned to join the Ignition AI Accelerator project as the only Ethereum (ETH)-related partner. However, it seems that NVIDIA's negative perception of virtual assets influenced this decision. Michael Kagan, NVIDIA's Chief Technology Officer (CTO), stated in an interview with The Guardian in 2023, "I never believed that virtual assets would do something positive for humanity."
