According to The Block, a cryptocurrency-focused media outlet, MetaMask, a cryptocurrency wallet, announced plans to launch a physical payment card in the second quarter of this year.
With this card, users will be able to make real-world payments within 5 seconds using the cryptocurrencies held in MetaMask, without the need to convert them to fiat currency during the transaction.
Previously, MetaMask announced a card pilot program in August last year and unveiled a physical card in March. Additionally, MetaMask plans to add support for Bitcoin (BTC) and Solana (SOL) and revamp the user interface (UI) of the wallet this year.
