According to the Token Mindshare (a metric quantifying the influence of specific tokens in the virtual asset market) top gainers of the AI-based Web3 search platform Kaito, the top 5 virtual assets that people are most interested in as of the 1st are Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), HyperLiquid (HYPE), XRP (XRP), and Alpaca Finance (ALPACA).
Bitcoin attracted investors' attention as it approached the key resistance level of $95,000 on this day. On CoinMarketCap, Bitcoin is trading at around $94,900, down about 0.06% from the previous day. The market is dominated by the observation that Bitcoin is likely to resume its bullish trend soon. A contributor to Crypto Sunmoon, CryptoQuant, analyzed on the 30th that "the proportion of Bitcoin held by U.S. institutions such as banks and exchanges has been increasing recently," suggesting that this trend indicates strong upward momentum is forming in the Bitcoin market. However, the U.S. Bitcoin spot ETF recorded a net outflow of $56.3 million the previous day, returning to a net outflow after 9 trading days.
Ethereum received attention as it reclaimed the $1,800 level on this day. Ethereum's price continued its downward trend the previous day, recording the $1,740 level at one point during the day. Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum, also drew attention by saying through the decentralized social media Labcast the previous day that "the first area of focus personally this year is Ethereum." The Ethereum Foundation recently announced plans to restructure the foundation's leadership structure. Ethereum is also planning a large-scale mainnet upgrade, the 'Pectra Upgrade,' on the 7th of this month.
HyperLiquid saw an increase in online mentions as signs of an X account hacking were detected on this day. Economic news channel AggrNews announced that "HyperLiquid's X account was hacked." It is speculated that the price increase on this day also influenced the number of mentions. HyperLiquid is trading at $19.55 on CoinMarketCap, up about 6.2% from the previous day. HyperLiquid's trading volume and open interest (OI) have been on the rise recently.
XRP attracted attention the previous day as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) postponed its decision on whether to approve Franklin Templeton's XRP spot ETF. The deadline for the SEC's XRP ETF approval is until next month. Bloomberg Intelligence estimated an 85% chance of XRP ETF approval in the U.S. within the year. For XRP to succeed in rebounding on ETF approval expectations, it needs to maintain the $2.2 support level and break through the $2.8~3 resistance level. XRP is trading at around $2.2 on CoinMarketCap, up 0.05% from the previous day.
Alpaca Finance received attention as it showed a recent surge ahead of its delisting from the global virtual asset exchange Binance. Previously, Binance announced the delisting of Alpaca Finance on the 24th. Immediately after the announcement, Alpaca Finance's price plummeted, but speculative demand surged the previous day, soaring over 500%. Alpaca Finance is trading at around $0.56 on CoinMarketCap. Compared to a week ago, it has increased by over 740%.
Additionally, investors are also interested in Kaito (KAITO), Worldcoin (WLD), and Solana (SOL).
