Lee Jun-seok, the Reform New Party presidential candidate, said on the 8th, "The economic view of Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, is always dangerous and experimental," adding, "He irresponsibly throws out unverified ideas and repeats only 'plausible words' without understanding the market."

Candidate Lee Jun-seok stated on his Facebook on this day, "When a politician who treats the economy like a toy comes to power, the damage always falls on the common people and the middle class," expressing this view. He continued, "It's questionable whether he even knows what he's talking about," criticizing, "It seems like he's throwing out something he can't properly digest, as if someone else wrote it for him."

Earlier, candidate Lee Jae-myung said on a YouTube broadcast this afternoon, "I think we need to prepare a won-based stablecoin market to prevent the outflow of national wealth." In response, candidate Lee Jun-seok poured out sharp criticism. He pointed out, "There was already a won-linked stablecoin 'Terra·Luna' in Korea," adding, "It left an indelible scar on many investors as a dark memory."

Candidate Lee Jun-seok explained, "Terra started as a stablecoin linked 1:1 with the Korean won, but there was no substantial asset to back it up," and "It maintained its price structure by utilizing its sister coin Luna." He then argued, "The result was disastrous," adding, "Many ordinary investors lost their entire fortune overnight, and it became a catalyst for undermining trust in the crypto asset market worldwide."

He criticized, "Candidate Lee Jae-myung just throws out the claim to 'create a stablecoin' without any measures," adding, "There is no explanation on how to handle the collateral and market risks involved." He continued, "Saying to create a domestic stablecoin without any strategy is a lack of reality awareness."

Candidate Lee Jun-seok mentioned candidate Lee Jae-myung's remarks on fostering 'K-NVIDIA', saying, "He casually made absurd remarks like 'Jambidia' and 'mass production of vertical take-off and landing aircraft'," adding, "If such a person talks about digital asset policy, the damage will fall squarely on the people."
