Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, completed his registration for the 21st presidential election at the Central Election Commission in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, on the 11th.

After completing his registration, Candidate Kim met with reporters and expressed surprise at the rejection of the 'candidate replacement' party member vote, saying, "I was very surprised. A miracle happened," and added, "I will serve and attend to the people well by joining hands with party comrades."

He mentioned the 'candidate replacement approval' party member vote enforced by the People Power Party leadership the previous day, saying, "Usually, when asked for approval or disapproval, approval is more common. It is unusual for disapproval to be high," and added, "I am truly grateful to the party members who have set democracy straight despite the strong influence of the leadership's direction."

He continued, "The People Power Party has shown how strong a democratic party it is this time," and added, "I believe that public sentiment is the same. I believe in the great people's awakening and capability to overcome any falsehood."

Regarding former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, who had conflicts over 'unification,' Candidate Kim said, "When I return, former Prime Minister Han will come to the party to meet me," and added, "Former Prime Minister Han has a lot of experience, insight, and leadership. I will ensure that the people do not worry and will definitely overcome the national crisis."

Regarding the resignation of former Emergency Response Committee Chairman Kwon Young-se, he said, "(In the presidential election) it is customary for the emergency committee chairman to resign and automatically become vacant once a candidate is elected," and added, "This time, the candidate was elected, but he did not resign, so I will discuss how to handle this with the party. I thank Chairman Kwon for his efforts."

He emphasized, "Since there are only a few days left until the election, it is more important to integrate the people and gather opinions through a broad big tent rather than holding anyone accountable."
