US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant indicated that the current tariffs on China are at their lowest level and that tariffs could return to the levels of April 2nd (local time) at any time.
According to Walter Bloomberg on the 12th (local time), Secretary Besant stated, "The current tariff level on China is at its lowest," and added, "The tariff level imposed on China on April 2nd will be the upper limit." He further mentioned, "We can return to that level at any time."
Previously, China and the US announced that they would reduce mutual tariffs from 125% and 145% to 10% and 30% respectively for 90 days.
