On the 13th (local time), a representative from the Korea Financial Investment Association told Bloomingbit, "It is true that an ETF meeting is being held," but added, "It is not being held to initiate discussions on the introduction of virtual asset ETFs as previously reported by the media." Furthermore, they stated, "There are no plans to hold a separate meeting regarding Bitcoin (BTC) and virtual asset ETFs."
They also dismissed claims that virtual asset ETFs would be a key agenda item at the first meeting. The representative said, "The claim that virtual asset ETFs will be a key agenda item at the first meeting is incorrect," adding, "Discussions on virtual asset ETFs may arise in future meetings, but it is not a key agenda item."
Previously, there were reports that the Korea Financial Investment Association was holding an ETF meeting with virtual asset ETF discussions as a key agenda item.
