According to CrowdFund Insider on the 24th (local time), Kraken, in collaboration with Backed and the Solana Foundation, has launched xStocks, which allows trading of tokenized US stocks and ETFs. This service operates on the Solana blockchain and will be available to some non-US market users.
A Kraken representative stated, "The reason for choosing Solana as the first blockchain for xStocks is its "overwhelming performance, low latency, and vibrant global ecosystem," and "we aim to create a more open and accessible stock investment environment by leveraging blockchain technology."
