Cathie Wood, known as 'Money Tree Sister,' has predicted long-term demand for cryptocurrency (crypto) exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
According to Cointelegraph on the 25th (local time), Cathie Wood stated at the Solana Accelerate event, "The use of cryptocurrency wallets will increase over the next 10 years. Nevertheless, cryptocurrency ETFs will still play an important role," and added, "Investors want to conveniently purchase cryptocurrencies."
Cathie Wood also pointed out the lack of staking functionality as the reason for the underwhelming market response to the Ethereum (ETH) spot ETF. The Ethereum spot ETF, launched in July last year, has attracted approximately $2.77 billion in funds so far, but is considered to have underperformed compared to Bitcoin ETFs. She explained, "The demand for the Ethereum spot ETF may have been limited because staking was absent," and added, "Nevertheless, Ethereum serves as a major asset for new investors to get acquainted with smart contracts."
She also expressed her stance on Solana. She said, "The launch of the Trump President meme coin may have negatively impacted institutional investor confidence in the Solana blockchain," and added, "I will announce the price outlook for Solana once the related research is completed."
