According to U.Today on the 25th (local time), Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, stated on his YouTube broadcast 'Ask Me Anything (AMA)' that "Ripple's acquisition of Circle would have a positive impact on the industry as a whole."
He said, "The current ecosystem built by Coinbase, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), and Circle is very closed," adding, "Projects outside find it difficult to get listed and secure liquidity." He emphasized, "If Ripple acquires Circle, the monopolistic structure will be resolved, and more diversity can occur in the industry."
Meanwhile, Fortune previously reported, citing sources, that Circle has entered into informal negotiations with Ripple for a corporate sale.
