Bithumb Nanum Visits Donggwang Mother and Child Welfare Center… "Communicating Through Sand Art"

Bithumb Nanum, the social contribution organization under the domestic virtual asset exchange Bithumb, announced on the 28th that it visited the Donggwang Mother and Child Welfare Center in Nowon-gu, Seoul, on the 24th.

The Donggwang Mother and Child Welfare Center is a welfare facility for single-parent families. Specifically, it supports low-income single-parent families to raise their children in a stable residential environment and achieve social and economic independence. Currently, about 40 people reside at the Donggwang Mother and Child Welfare Center.

On the 24th, Bithumb Nanum provided lunch boxes consisting of steak, fried rice, etc., to the Donggwang Mother and Child Welfare Center using a food truck. After the meal, snacks such as puffed rice, cotton candy, and slushies were also provided. A Bithumb Nanum representative explained, "We also watched a sand art performance that draws pictures and tells stories using sand at the Donggwang Mother and Child Welfare Center," adding, "We had a time of communication by placing our hands together with the children on the sandbox filled with soft sand."

Meanwhile, Bithumb Nanum received a commendation from the Seoul Metropolitan Council this month in recognition of its active social contribution activities since its launch last year. A Bithumb Nanum official said, "We were able to reflect on the true meaning of social contribution by communicating with the children," adding, "We will continue to strive to provide practical support to marginalized neighbors through activities that share our hearts by visiting the site directly."
