Across Protocol Integrates BNB Smart Chain…Ultra-Fast Bridging Support

Bloomingbit Newsroom

Summary

  • Across Protocol announced the integration of BNB Smart Chain.
  • With this integration, ultra-fast bridging and cost efficiency have been enhanced, and it also provides a foundation for the development of various cross-chain applications.
  • Going forward, Across Protocol plans to expand its positioning as the standard for multi-chain bridging.

The cross-chain bridge platform Across Protocol announced on the 29th that it is integrating BNB Smart Chain (BSC). BSC is one of the world’s largest web3 ecosystems, focused on real-world use cases such as trading, gaming, decentralized finance (DeFi), and payments.

Across Protocol’s BSC integration enables ultra-fast asset bridging not only between Ethereum (ETH) mainnet and Layer 2s—including Aave and Curve—but also on BSC, allowing assets to be transferred within seconds. Through its own intent-based architecture and a rebalancing mechanism leveraging the global virtual asset (cryptocurrency) exchange Binance, it also secures scalability and cost-efficiency.

The core of the bridging technology is the 'intent-based architecture.' When users enter their transfer intent, intermediaries process it quickly and cost-effectively. The transaction records generated in this process are automatically recorded on the blockchain, ensuring reliability and transparency without centralized intervention. Intermediaries are designed to prepare or adjust funds in advance using Binance exchange, so even when large amounts are transferred, fees can be kept low.

This integration also provides a foundation for developers to build cross-chain applications on top of BSC. By utilizing Across Protocol’s open-source SDK and smart contracts, developers can easily implement features such as one-click cross-chain deposits, swaps, and minting of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) within dApps. Across Protocol also plans to expand its positioning as the standard for multi-chain bridging, following Ethereum and various Layer 2s.
