A report has emerged that tensions are resurfacing in the trade truce between the United States of America and China, as China delays the approval process for rare earth exports.

On the 31st (local time), The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported, "As China delays the approval process for exporting key minerals, including rare earths, the trade agreement the two countries signed in Geneva earlier this month is now at risk of collapsing."

According to the report, this agreement was based on China's promise to swiftly process export permits for critical minerals. However, Jamieson Greer, representative of the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), recently criticized in an interview with CNBC, saying, "China is not keeping its promise, which in effect constitutes a violation of the agreement."
