The national vote count rate for the 21st presidential election has surpassed 10%.

According to the Central Election Management Committee's ballot counting status on the 3rd, as of 10:16 p.m., with a nationwide count rate of 10.06%, Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea had 45.87% (1,614,790 votes), while Kim Moon-soo of the People Power Party had 48.27% (1,617,891 votes). The vote difference between the two candidates is 3,101 votes. Lee Jun-seok of the Reform New Party has a vote rate of 7.13%. The winner is expected to become apparent around midnight.

According to the exit poll conducted by the three terrestrial broadcasters (KBS, MBC, and SBS) and the Korea Broadcasters Association, candidate Lee Jae-myung was predicted to win with a vote rate of 51.7%. Trailing were Kim at 39.3% and Lee Jun-seok at 7.7%.

The gap between Lee Jae-myung and Kim was in the double-digit range. If the exit poll matches the ballot count, Lee Jae-myung is highly likely to win. Lee Jun-seok stated, "The election results and all responsibility lie with me," indicating his acceptance of defeat.

This exit poll was conducted by Korea Research, Ipsos, and Korea Research International from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. that day, targeting 80,146 voters at 325 polling stations nationwide. The margin of error is ±0.8% points at the 95% confidence level.
