Kraken Launches 'Prime Brokerage' Service for Institutional Investors... Supports 90% Market Liquidity

According to The Block, a global virtual asset (cryptocurrency) media outlet, on the 3rd (local time), the global cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has officially launched 'Kraken Prime', a prime brokerage service exclusively for institutional investors.

Kraken stated that "Kraken Prime is a high-performance solution that integrates trading, custody, and financial services, and allows access to over 90% of the digital asset market liquidity through a single interface."

Kraken Co-CEO David Ripley explained, "Kraken Prime has been designed to meet the level of execution quality and service that institutional clients expect today," adding, "We will provide premium services through infrastructure that has been proven through several market cycles."

Kraken Prime is designed to meet the growing demand for institutional investors such as asset management firms, hedge funds, and corporations to enter the digital asset market. Its core values are technical expertise, institutional-grade regulatory compliance capabilities, and 24/7 customized support.

Customers using Kraken Prime can execute trades directly from custody assets held by Kraken Financial, access T+1 credit trading, asset-backed lending, and market liquidity spanning more than 20 global exchanges. It is also equipped with a proprietary order routing system.

Kraken emphasized, "We are not simply a latecomer, but are setting a new standard in the institutional market," and added, "Even in unstable market conditions, reliability and consistency will be our top priority."

With this launch, Kraken is set to enter full-scale prime brokerage competition with existing competitors such as Coinbase Prime and FalconX.
