According to Chinese state media CCTV on the 5th (local time), President Xi stated in the phone call with President Trump, "Both countries must adhere to the terms agreed upon in Geneva, and China has already faithfully implemented the measures derived from that agreement." He also said, "The United States should withdraw all types of sanctions targeting China."

Meanwhile, President Xi personally conveyed to President Trump during the call that a visit to China would be welcomed, and it is reported that the two countries' leaders agreed to hold a new summit as soon as possible.
