President Donald Trump of the United States held a phone call lasting about 90 minutes with Chinese President Xi Jinping, during which they reportedly focused on discussing the details of the recently signed trade agreement between the two countries.

On the 5th (local time), President Trump revealed on his social media platform Truth Social, "Just finished a very good phone call with President Xi," adding, "The call lasted about an hour and a half and brought about a very positive outcome for both countries."

President Trump stated, "This call was almost entirely focused on trade issues," adding, "There will no longer be any controversy regarding the complexities of rare earth products." He continued, "Working-level officials from both countries are scheduled to meet soon, and from the U.S. side, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer will participate in the negotiations."

Additionally, it was reported that President Xi officially invited President Trump and the First Lady to China, and President Trump gladly accepted the invitation. Regarding this, Trump said, "As heads of state, we are looking forward to this visit."

President Trump also added that topics such as the Russia-Ukraine war and the Iran issue were not discussed during the call.
