According to Cointelegraph, a crypto-focused media outlet, Bilal Bin Saqib, Advisor to the Pakistan Blockchain & Crypto Council, recently held separate meetings in New York with Brandon Lutnick, Chairman and CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, and Eric Adams, Mayor of New York City. Cantor Fitzgerald, a global investment bank headquartered in New York, recently established a digital asset finance division and is actively entering the crypto asset market.
On this day, the Pakistan Crypto Council announced through X (formerly Twitter), "We discussed cooperation on topics such as Bitcoin mining, asset tokenization, and Pakistan's Web3 strategy at the meeting."
The media outlet added, "Pakistan is seeking global cryptocurrency partnerships based on regulatory clarity and energy infrastructure," and noted, "This is likely to be a strategic collaboration, especially since Cantor Fitzgerald holds a 5% stake in stablecoin Tether."
