He went on to add, "The border is closed, prices have gone down, and wages have gone up!"

Trump’s comments drew attention as they coincided with the release of the U.S. employment report that same day. Nonfarm payrolls in May increased by 139,000, exceeding market expectations of 126,000. Average hourly earnings also rose 3.9% year-over-year, surpassing the forecast of 3.7%.
