According to CNN on the 6th (local time), President Trump said about Musk, "I probably won't talk to him for a while" and added, "I wish him well."
He further stated, "I'm not even thinking about Musk," and then added, "There's something wrong with him. That poor guy has issues," making remarks that portrayed Musk as mentally unstable.
Previously, Musk had publicly opposed the Trump administration's key tax cut policy embodied in the 'Big, Beautiful Bill,' calling it 'disgusting and repulsive.'
Regarding this, President Trump expressed displeasure at Musk's comments during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the White House the previous day when talking to reporters.
President Trump also mentioned, "Musk and I had a good relationship, but I'm not sure anymore. I was very disappointed. I was surprised."
