On the 6th (local time), Simon Gerovich, Metaplanet CEO, stated via his X, "We are delighted to set up our US headquarters in Miami," and added, "We are proud to be able to build the Bitcoin industry in one of the world's most tech-friendly and innovative cities."
Previously, Metaplanet announced plans for a Bitcoin-dedicated capital increase amounting to approximately ₩7.27 trillion (about ¥770.9 billion). Additionally, Metaplanet is continuously acquiring Bitcoin, aiming to hold 100,000 units by 2026 and 210,000 units by 2027.
With these moves, the industry sees Metaplanet as solidifying its position as 'Asia’s leading Bitcoin company' by adopting Strategy's model.
