James Wynn, a cryptocurrency whale (large investor), directly criticized the decentralized exchange (DEX) Hyperliquid (HYPE).

On the 8th, James Wynn stated on X, "If Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder of Binance, launches a derivatives decentralized exchange, there is a high possibility that Hyperliquid will be finished," adding, "Changpeng Zhao has everything: capital, network, a talent pool, and more." He continued, "Looking at what (Changpeng Zhao) has built with Binance, it's clear he's someone who can create something more extraordinary than anyone," and emphasized, "Hyperliquid must step up before they lose to better competitors."

The issue James Wynn pointed out was Hyperliquid's referral profit structure. James Wynn said, "I earned $34,000 from referrals on Hyperliquid," but asserted, "Given the number of subscribers I brought and the trading volume, the profit is poor."
