Bithumb announced on the 9th that it is conducting a fan-participatory donation campaign, the 'Bithumb Donation Challenge', together with SSG Landers, to support youth baseball teams.

This 'Bithumb Donation Challenge' was planned to commemorate Choo Shin-soo, who announced his retirement last year and is about to hold his official retirement ceremony (currently serving as advisor to SSG Landers). The purpose is to carry on his passion, shown through years of dedication to fans and baseball, by transforming it into warm encouragement for youth baseball.

To participate in the donation challenge, you need to sign up for Bithumb membership. By checking the coupon code provided in the notice within the SSG Landers app by the 23rd and registering the 'event coupon' in the customer center menu of the Bithumb app, you can join the campaign. New Bithumb members who register the coupon will have ₩30,000 automatically donated to the youth baseball development fund, and will also receive a Bithumb reward of the same amount. If you also complete the welcome mission and receive an additional ₩20,000, you can receive up to ₩50,000 worth of rewards. Existing Bithumb members can also take part in the donation. Donation coupons can be issued for up to 3,000 participants on a first-come, first-served basis; for each registered coupon, ₩10,000 will be donated.

Please note that a coupon can only be registered once per account, and to participate in the challenge, you must complete Bithumb membership registration, identity verification (KYC), and link your KB Kookmin Bank account. The issued Bithumb KRW will automatically expire if not used within 30 days after the event ends.

The accumulated donations will be delivered to youth baseball teams in the Incheon area through the Incheon Community Chest of Korea and will be used to support training equipment such as baseballs.

Seonil Moon, Head of Service at Bithumb, said, “We prepared this campaign to commemorate Choo Shin-soo’s retirement together and to ensure that fan participation can be meaningfully delivered to the local community and aspiring baseball players,” and added, “As this is a new challenge where you can experience both donation and tangible benefits at the same time, we expect a lot of interest and participation.”
